learn shadow boxing @ press!

in the spirit of joseph cornell, create your own little world inside a shadow box. learn how to take objects of the everyday and give them a preciousness and delicacy by telling a story with them in this miniature scene. students will learn how to combine 2D and 3D elements, layer images and objects, create depth and narrative through making their own shadow box. the shadow box format has been used by all kinds of artists in the telling of their stories, use it to commemorate an event or a loved one, or make a keepsake for a friend. all levels welcome.

the class will take place on the evening of wednesday, october 26th from 7-10pm. the $75 registration fee includes all the materials you will need to make your own shadow box. don't forget to bring your own scissors, and feel free to bring along any special materials you'd like to include.
